There are still many that think a buyer's agent's sole responsibility is to just drive around their clients, make an offer for them and then go home with a fat commission. And that may still be the goal of some agents. But if a buyer is truely represented by a competent and knowledgable agent, that agent will work very hard for that commission. Buying and selling real estate to some may seem easy, but it is not. There are a myrid of tasks that must be performed in any sale and they have to be performed legally. Buyers and sellers should have the peace of mind that once a transaction closes, they can sleep well knowing that they will not be confronted with a law suit long after the transaction has closed.
