Understanding them can make a difference between a successful real estate transaction and one that is not. Mass confusion can ensue if both seller and buyer are not familiar with all of the terms of their contract. When you are able look at the different contracts long before you sign them, it will give you a lot more confidence when you do sign them. The contracts you are about to see are provided by the California Association of Realtors C.A.R. If you are selling or purchasing residential property in California, there is a 99.9% chance that you agent or broker uses them.
